Forest Landscape Restoration

This course is about learning the main and most-effective forest landscape restoration strategies. The course will recall fundamental concepts of forest ecology and management, in particular forest disturbance regimes and regeneration methods. Students will learn the main restoration practices, as well as planting techniques and nursery activities, in different landscapes based on different restoration purposes. Students will learn the importance of taking into consideration anthropogenic and biophysical factors in taking forest restoration decisions.

The thematic course includes lectures and interactive classroom discussions, theoretical and practical activities, and field visits.

Oral examination (around 30 minutes) with open questions
