Sustainable Forestry in the Boreal and Temperate Zones of Northern Europe

The overview of the second year in Alnarp is provided in the table below. The restricted elective modules focus on sustainable forest and nature management issues in the boreal and temperate zones of northern Europe in relation to contemporary societal challenges. The master’s thesis (30 ECTS) is compulsory and it can be conducted full time during one semester or part time over two semesters, allowing student to select elective modules (15 ECTS) in semester 1 and 2. The table below shows the recommended study plan.

*It is possible to write the thesis (30) in semester 1 and 2. This means students much choose 15 ECTS among the semester 1 course modules and 15 ects among semester 2 course modules: National and International Forest Policy (15), Broadleaves – Forest Dynamics, Biodiversity and Management for Multiple Use (15).
